so ive been at this for awhile and i still dont quite understand how many calories i should be having and if i should eat my exercise calories back and what not. im 5'6 and around 150-155 lbs and i wanna get to about 125 lbs..and i usually seem to eat more than i should because of nibbling and i have a tendency to binge sometimes :/ im trying really hard to overcome those...behaviors and i just dont know what to do anymore about my weight loss because all ive done is gain weight i lost and then lose alittle and then gain it back...i hate it.

Babe, I know what each and every single word you wrote here means to you - and to me. It sucks so much because we both started rough, lost a great amount of weight, maintained, and slowly crept up again with the binging. It seriously feels disgusting. I, too, am lost with the calorie intake, the portions, the everything. I deeply mean it when I say how much I wish I could be near you and help you out in any way possible. Not only for your benefit, but also for me. We are such a great pair when it comes to food. Let me state how amazing it is to have met you on here. Someone with similar goals and fails LOL, seriously.

I don't wanna sound cheesy or like a broken record, but it's the only words that come to mind: if losing weight, eating right can happen once, we CAN do it again. It's a matter of time and patience. Obviously, we're not gonna mope about it and hope tomorrow gets better. Small changes is all it takes. We HAVE to transform them into habits.

I've only used MFP's calorie counts for like a week and felt like I wasn't really making progress. For the most part i've used this calculator to get my calories...and not eat exercise calories back since you've already added them to your activity count.

By the way, the calories you get is your maintenance calories. You can subtract from 300 to 500 calories to lose weight.
BTW i 've been a member since 2010 i just made a new account.
