Welcome new and returning triathletes!
The traditional challenge is to complete Ironman Triathlon mileage in the 31 days of August
--Swimming 2.4 Miles
--Biking 112 miles
--Running 26.2 miles
You may modify your mileage goals to suit your specific circumstances (e.g., distance changes, no pool access, goals, etc.) just set and declare those goals at the beginning of the month. It must still be a combination of running/walking, biking, and swimming we all love.
All skill levels welcome! We traditionally have some phenominal tri athletes here and some working toward their first sprint tri's. Feel free to Friend request those you find interesting, alot of support here goes on behind the scenes. Anyone may FR me.
We'll use this forum all month to log and report our mileage. You can log daily or weekly-- whatever keeps you motivated!

I'm in with the traditional Ironman mileage:
--Swimming 2.4 Miles
--Biking 112 miles
--Running 26.2 miles

After a good lower month running last month I'm upping it slightly.
Iv got a 5K next sunday but that's all so far
Oh and I might actually get in pool this month

I am easing my way back into running, after injury, so may be short on running again but will set goal at marathon
Biking at 112
Swim 2 times a week, don't count laps but swim 2.5 hours/per week so should be more than enough
I am doing a sprint tri for fun while on vacation Sept 30, using my moms clunker bike, so will be slow and still working up to 3 miles running 2.5 is most I've done so far0 -

About 10 of the running miles are from a mountain hike. I include them here because my HR on a hilly hike isn't much lower to my slow running HR0 -

I did not set any goals for Sep because I have been focusing on getting ready for my first half marathon and have really been working one of Hal Higdon's training schedules to get ready. But without even realizing it I am closing in on an IRONMAN for the month. I am pretty giddy about this because last month I was a terrible swimmer. I am getting better with the swimming but have a LOOOOOOOONG way to go to reach my goal of completing a 70.3 in July '13. On the other hand, barring any injuries, the half marathon next month will be a piece of cake... not a fast piece of cake but that is okay. This body was built for style not speed.
Running: 89.6 miles
Biking: 116 miles
Swimming: 6700 meters0 -
going to have to update my calendar... but swimming done and bikeing done ... run will definately be short again....
On a good note got a 70 mile ride in last sunday and this coming sunday I am doing a sprint tri0 -
