Serious off week :-(

I know there is no one here to blame but myself but just looking for some advice I guess from other people who experienced this, i've adapted really well to changing my eating habits in the last few months and sticking to it and noticed the weight dropping off slowly but in a good way .
Now i'm back at college other things seems to have taken over and this week was just really bad, like for eating biscuits, pizza,...you get my drift. Also my exercise has gone out the window...
Just wondering how much this will affect my weight loss...am i likely to put more on again? Anyone else had off weeks?
Not a good feeling

I wouldn't worry about this week I would worrying about setting up a routine that you can stick by in college.
Because if you keep up with what you are doing, simply because you are near temptation, you won't stick with it.0 -
One week isn't really going to matter in the long run.
Just get yourself a routine that you can stick to and start working on eating healthy and working out again from now on.0 -
Yup agree with both of them- try finding some peeps that are trying to be healthy too and hang with them instead of those that arent ready or dont need to worry about it yet:) Find someone to workout with even if its walking around the block a few times during the day or doing the stairs....every little bit helps:)0

I agree with everyone. Also you may want to keep some protein meal bars, healthy snacks etc..on hand for the just in case. I know you can find some people who eat healthy and work out there...that would be a great boost.0

It is when one week turns into two then three, that is when things get bad.
One week is not going to hurt you and could honestly help you in the long run by spiking your diet.
Now, after saying that, get back to it. It is very easy to fall into the trap because trust me, you will blink your eyes and all of a sudden you are 30 and wonder how the heck you gained all that weight and got so out of shape.0 -
check your bmr at the weight you are now, and compare that to the amount of calories you are eating. I've eaten terribly the past couple weeks but maintained my weight (give or take half a pound) because I'm eating my bmr calories.0

Ok, so, did you get overweight in a week? Or did it take a lot, lot longer than that? One week is just a week. In the same way eating well for a week won't make you lose 10lbs, neither will eating badly for a week make you gain 10. And even if you weighed you're probably so loaded up with salt you won't have a clue what is real weight and what is water retention.
So, stop. Relax. Breathe. Re-group.
Okays, now like veryone said it's not the last week you've been through that's important it's how you move forward. And cut yourself some slack, if you've just tsrated back at college that is a crazy, crazy time, yes? You're settling in now, you know where your classes are etc etc. Time to get back on the bandwagon.
So prep time. Where am I going to eat and when? What are my options? Exercise - where, who with - etc etc etc - you know the score. Maybe hang out at maintenance level for a while to give yourself time to settle into your new routine.
Above all, don't panic and don't feel bad and don't do any of that crazy head stuff that derails us completely. Good luck, I'm sure you're going to find your way through this and out the other end in a positive way X0 -
You just don't want it bad enough...yet.0

One week isn't going to matter, but for me- continually eating in that fashion after I lost weight... I gained it all + additional weight back.... Get back on it soon.0 -
I've personally come to realize that I live a yo-yo life as it relates to my dieting. I go down, I go up a little, and then down again. The good news is it's down more than its up! The bad news is when I hit those funky up times, I tend to sabotage myself even more.
Its a a long journey to where we want to be, and I'm sure being back in school is a totally different environment for you. Step back and see just how you can re-adjust what you were doing well and apply it to tne new routine. Please don't get discouraged!! Remember how good it feels when things go right and embrace it!!:flowerforyou:0 -
I just had an off-week, and I believe it was good for me. I had plateaued for about 6 weeks, and was feeling angry and frustrated. My off week helped me to re-prioritize and I believe it helped me to restart my weight loss.
Anyway, tomorrow is another day, and we can always start again.0 -
Thank you so much everyone for your replies and words of advice, honestly I felt a bit silly posting this because after an off-week what can you do only pick yourself up again but I guess just hearing other people's words/experiences helps a lot as on this site many people are going through the same thing so thanks again .Ok, so, did you get overweight in a week?
