I am so bored with Leslie Sansone and the wii fit. I'd love to Jillian Michaels/Bob Harper, etc, but I have a lower back injury that just doesn't allow those types of workouts.

I'm considering buying a few Barre workout DVDs....just wondering if anyone here has tried them? Success? Thoughts? Opinions.

Thanks

I did Cardio Barre a few weeks ago. I found it on youtube. I could only find the advanced one, but hey, might as well go big right?! :) It's an hour and it moves FAST but it was a fantastic workout. This reminds me to incorporate it into my regular workouts!

Actually just did a quick search on youtube and I can't find it now. Maybe google it?

I have that Fluidity workout system that was popular a few years ago. The barre and mat are surprisingly sturdy and the workouts are very challenging. I'd bet you could find it cheap on ebay or craiglist or yard sales. Most people stop using workout equipment within a month and then it just takes up space.

With a back injury you should look into Lotte Berk.I have them and absolutely love them. You can find some reviews on them on Amazon.com

I just started the Barre Method and it is such an amazing very low impact workout. I had back surgery and so my flexibility is very low, but you can adjust the moves to your ability and as long as you're working to your full capability you will get a good workout. I have been using the Change your body one. Also, she stretches between each exercise so you are less sore (but still feel it) the next day

I know I'm coming late to this thread, but hope this helps. Google: Pure Barre, Cardio Barre, The Bar Method and barre3. All of them sell DVDs and have free workouts on youtube.
