This is my first time posting and I just feel confused. I can follow 1200 calories no problem and I stay the same all week, I dont lose anything, I am eating lots of vegetables and eating every 2-3 hours 6 times a day. My body only seems to lose weight when I follow a program like jenny craig or weight watcher, then the weight comes off, i just dont get it. I am not eating junk. I dont want to eat jenny craig food all the time or count points. Its why I love MFP it keeps me accontable. why the heck wont the weight come off? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you drinking alot of water, and doing any kind of exercise. I know we could lose weight with no exercise but it is important.0

I have the same issue but make sure you take your measurements each week also. I started losing inches before pounds; which is fine by me! My goal is to look good and fit in smaller clothes so the scale doesn't really bother me. Alot of emphasis on here is put on the weight you lose, but in the end, it will come off too. Don't get discouraged, but do make sure to track your measurements!0

I'd also suggest taking measurements. And make sure you're accurately logging your food. If you don't already have a food scale, it might be a good idea just so you know you're not underestimating your intake.0

Very hard to gauge without seeing your food diary.0

I went through a similar thing. Everyone is different so you might have to play around to find out what works for you. I ate like every 2-4 hours but did not lose weight, just maintained. Then I found information on intermittent fasting. I am happy with this method and love that I don't have to prepare for the smaller meals. It also saves you money!
Check out this information. There are a lot of different methods to fasting. It might help you!!

i use the mfp website to track my weight watchers points. it does all the work for me, i just have to input the totals into a free online calculator. weight watchers points system (somehow) works better for me than just calorie counting! <3n-0

I have been excersizing, I have a fitbit that logs my calories burned, lately it hasnt been syncing to my computer ugh.. i want to do something that i can keep doing forever and counting calories i can do. counting points not so much. right now i am on jenny craig and im so tired of having to buy there food, i just want to do it myself like everyone else on here. I am focused on the scale because i currently weigh 196 lbs for being 5'2 so as much as id love to just focus on my measurements which are great, i cant. i do drink lots of water as well. i just feel so frustrated.0

I was in the same boat for a while. I noticed a change in my clothes, but I wasn't seeing results on the scale. Try taking measurements also to track your progress. You will notice the pounds start to fall eventually. I promise!
I find it amazing how different people's body's respond to different diets. I tried weight watchers for three months and only lost 4lbs. Their program just wasn't for me, but I KNOW it's a fantastic program.
Don't get frustrated! Keep on eating well and doing things right and you will see the scale go in the opposite direction0
