Totally off topic but I thought this said 'mad runs' at first glance... I thought you were going to tell everyone about your bowel movements haha.

lmao.....uuummm, had one of those this morning but not what I was talking about.
  • Actually, I'm planning to do the smaller one 5k in December..the tough mudder is 12k ....never done one before...I just really want to do it..trying to get my best friends and sister to all do it with me..seems like a lot of fun and camaraderie and fun party stuff afterwards..plus, I'm kind of prissy about getting dirty, so I think it will get me over that, really quickly!

A Spartan Sprint is a goal for me. I signed up for one in June 2013, and I plan on being as buff/fit as I can be by then!

I did the Tough Mudder in 2011 and I'm doing it again on October 6th. The Tough Mudder in Austin is 12 miles. It's long, not easy, and I'm still not sure how I got talked into doing it again. : ) It is a good experience, though.
  • Just did a Warrior Dash a couple weekends ago. I'm not super strong, and usually run/walk, but got through it! There were 3 water obstacles and those took so much energy out of you...once we got to the rope climb, I had to go around it. That's the nice thing though, if you need a break, take one!

I have done the Warrior Dash, currently training for the TM - would also like to do a Spartan Super.
I was a road runner until my first WD in July, now I am addicted. Can't wait until the next obstacle race.

    Good luck and have fun!!!

I've done a bunch of different 5K and 10K mud runs. They're a lot of fun. I'm signed up for the Spartan Beast in December. Looking forward to it...sort of. Haha.

My husband has been a great runner and always done really well road-racing. However, he's done the Spartan Sprint, the Hero's Rush, and the Spartan Beast now, and he LOVES them way more than road-racing because it's a full-body workout, it's much less "boring", and it's super-fun.

We're doing the Ragnar Relay (200-mile relay race) tomorrow, and a Tough Mudder next month. :) We can report back on how they are! :)

Just finished the NorCal Tough Mudder at Tahoe on Sunday - Friggin awesome but damn hard - between miles 4-5 it was essentially straight up hill. A lot of people sucking wind! I got the *kitten* shocked out of me on the electroshock therapy obstacle - on my left cheek bone. Lost vision in my left eye for about 3 secs.

Already signed up for next year's in July!

Im signed up to do the Tough Mudder in 2013.... nervous thought as Im not sure I could even walk 12 miles let alone 12 miles of obstacle courses lol
  • I've done the camp pendleton mud run 3 times now and I will continue to do it as long as I can! It's fan-friggin-tastic! Mud, running, challenges, and bloody hot marines along the way, can anyone say "yowzers!" ?.

My hubby and I will also be doing the "run for your lives" in south temecula in October. It's an obstacle course and mud-run type event but you have zombies chasing you.. and we're going to be two of the zombies! Still trying to figure out my costume...

I thought you were talking about when that certain biological urge hits you in the middle of a run.

(I will *not* be checking up on this thread later as someone will inevitably post a picture of "that one guy in a race".)

I did both the Warrior Dash and the Tough Mudder this summer....Warrior Dash was in Barrie, ON, on July 21st, and the Tough Mudder was in Orillia, ON, on August 18th.

The Tough Mudder was FAR more challenging, and WAY more rewarding than the Warrior Dash (in my opinion!). They are both fantastic runs; however, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! They're particularly great for half and full marathon runners, to break up the monotony of a race training schedule...

    They are SO MUCH FUN!!!

I'm a mudder. Spartan, Warrior Dash, Tough Mudder, and a local one so far. Next year I'm going to try to enter the Spartan race series, I'm very excited about it.

Yup! I've done Renegade, Wason Pond Pounder, Run For Your Lives, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash. I feel like I'm forgetting some.

Registered for Renegade again, Rebel Race (first 9.3 mile obstacle course for me), Panic in the Park, and Tough Mudder!

Totally addictive. Join this group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/6432-spartans-mudders-warriors-oh-my-
