Hi there everyone, my name is Mike.
I'm 33 and weigh far far too much.
I was fine as a child but once I hit puberty I started to grow and grow.
Honesty time: I do eat a lot of trash as a comfort food (damn you mother for filling my head with that when I was little) and I take responsibility for it now (the mother dig was mostly a joke btw).
The frustrating part is that I am actually quite active compared to some, I cycle an average of 2 miles a day and I do spend a lot of time on my feet. While my actual job is in accounts, I handle the lions share of door and window deliveries at my work which means I am always bumping heavy things about. The crazy thing is that I'm physically way stronger than I have ever been but I'm also way way chunkier than I have ever been.
I now have fond memories of wearing jeans with a 34" waist and now I just get depressed when I slap on my 42" to go to work.
Something just has to give I think.. I really need a new me, a me that doesn't loathe going swimming with my daughter and doesn't always wear the baggy option.
I made a start to my new regieme with the my first new hairstyle in about 16 years... Now I just want to make the rest of me match my mental idea of where I should be.
I'm going to have to work hard at this I know and stop making so many excuses to myself.. Yes I do work a 10-11 hour day and quite often on Saturdays too, Yes its after 6pm when I get home and yes, I am always tired but I need to forcemyself to actually start getting physical and eating right...
Wish me luck guys... I want to be a skinnier Dad that my girls can be proud of rather than the first choice for Santa Claus at this years Xmas do as I'm already the right shape....

I know how you feel, and believe me, you want to be on top of this now instead of in 15 years from now.
