Five weeks, 20 pounds, a happy doctor, and feeling better

I passed a milestone this week...I feel different.

My weight has gone from 253 to 233 as of this morning.

I don't know if I have more energy, but I feel...different.

My pants fit better (I'm wearing a pair now that we just about too tight a month ago), but that's not it.

I've reclaimed a notch on my belt and am getting close to another one, but that's not why I feel different.

I still have a gut. I'm still fat. But my body is telling me it's lost some weight. And we like that feeling.

My doctor is really happy with me. "We're not going to talk about anything else - we're just going to be happy about those [then] 18 pounds and encourage you to keep at it..."

Congrats! That's a great milestone to reach!
  • Congrats to you! I understand the "feeling" you have. You're accomplishing your goal and what you're doing is working for you and that's a great thing! I've lost 4.5 lbs. since I joined MFP 10 days ago and that's the best I've ever done on any "weight loss program". This is easy for me and it feels great!! I can't wait to hit the 20 lb. mark; that's my first goal!

GREAT JOB! Stick with it, even after it starts to slow down. You'll still reach your goal eventually, and you'll continue to feel better.
