Mens clothing as a birthday gift

Hello All.

My cousin's birthday is coming up and it drives me nuts that he walks around like he is a member of Lil Wayne's posse. I thought that if I bought him a nice outfit then he will care more about his appearance and stop walking around with his boxers sticking out of his pants. He is going to be 25, does anyone know of any trendy clothing sites for men in his age group? (22-30) Money is not really a priority at the moment so all submissions are greatly appreciated.

Clothing is never a good option as far as I am concerned. It never fits right. Me personally, I hate it when someone buys me clothes.

Maybe you need to take him shopping. Or at least buy him a belt.

Same situation here, but not with a cousin. My man's 25th is coming up, so I understand the age/fashion combination. He used to wear those horrible fashion slogan t-shirts everywhere ["Got Me? I'll Do Your Body Good. / "Beer: Now Cheaper Than Gas." / "Let's Play Army: I Lie Down, and You Blow Me Away." Needless to say, I was unhappy]. I started giving him nicer clothes and he eventually started wearing them more often, and buying them himself...quelle coincidence!

Anyway, if that's the goal, this approach really does work (if you're okay with giving him a present that's also a present for you! It _is_ your money). Since you're picking how you want him to look, pick whatever brand you like. Button down shirts and nice dress pants are always a good segway outfit choice, because he'll probably complain that he "doesn't wear stuff like this" when he sees how your picks are different from his.

To which you can respond, "that's because these are dressy, for occasion x, y, z...women love it when men look all put together."

Good devious luck to you! :drinker:

Ditto.. I'll take em back and get something I like.

You can't change anyone but yourself. Buying someone clothes will not make them change their appearance.

Its rare clothes actually work out. What I'd recommend is like a gift card of a good enough value to get an outfit from Express for men, or lucky, or whereever else where he can't get too gangster of clothes, but still get good enough clothes.

when i receive clothes that i like from a girlfriend as a gift its one of the best gifts possible. but its high risk/high reward. getting a nice shirt to hit the town with is the best.

But then he will sell the gift cards :frown:

Im just looking for some sites that I can look at, I already know his sizes since he lived here for a bit.
