no patience, anyone else?

i LOVE losing weight, that feeling you get when you look at the scales when you have even lost something as little as 1lb is amazing because you know how much you want this and the hard work you've put in.
the only problem i have is that i have no patience, i know losing weight is something that takes time and lots and lots of patience but i find myself getting a bit ratty with constantly counting calories and finding time to exercise, i want the results so badly but does anyone else feel the same as i do?
People have said they have lost 20lbs in 2 months, i have lost 17lbs in 5! i have another 13lbs to go, the thought of another 3/4 months just seems so far away.
does anyone else feel the same and just want to be able to click their fingers and BAM, you're at the size and shape you want to be?

Losing it too quickly is not a good idea... apart from health issues, it might start to control your life. You lose weight to improve your life style, you don't live to lose weight. Besides, quick losers are often quick (re)gainers with a bunch of loose skin.0

I definitely feel the same, wish it were that easy!
But I'm slowly realising that it will take a complete lifestyle change.. Eating, exercising, and no going back to the big bags of chips and tubs of ben&jerry's when I reach my goal!0 -

My first 7 days I dropped 30 lbs. However I was nearly 500 lbs too :frown: I'm the complete opposite. I have TONS of patience. With me though, weight loss was never my main goal. It was getting heatlthy and dealing with the diabetes. I reversed the diabetes a while ago. I no longer have it nor need to take medications for it or any other health related issues that I had in the past. My goal is still just to stay healthy, keep improving fitness wise. The weight loss is just an added bonus.
I'd look at other ways to track progress besides the scale. How do clothes feel now? Fitness levels? etc etc.0 -
I'm a slow loser as well but I'm good with that, it gives me more time to adjust to eating healthy and getting fit as I will be doing this for the rest of my life, not as a quick fix0

You are focussing on the negative rather than the positive.
If you had not set to your task, you would be 17lbs heavier than you are now and none the wiser that you are fully capable of losing weight and have done extremely well so far!
13lbs left, don't think of the timescale, just continue, the time will fly by quickly enough and then before you know it - January or February will arrive, you will be at your goal weight - you don't have long to go at all!0 -

I know exactly what you're talking about and I've been there but the 30 lbs I've lost was thru changing my eating habits and making a complete lifestyle change a little at a time, unfortunately, losing too fast will almost guarantee the weight will come back (but I'm sure you already know this), but yeah it's tough sometimes to be disciplined when it comes off so slowly. Hang in there.....0
