Does anyone have a good healthy buffalo wing recipe, you know, the kind that has the sauce that gets all over your hands and you have to lick your fingers to get all the goodness. We like spicy buffalo wings, and I know I could soak the chicken breast in buttermilk with some cayenne, put some spicy seasonings in the whole wheat flour, but what about a healthy sauce to toss them in after they are baked. Maybe swapping out Olive oil instead of butter?

To me, these are the best chicken wings ever. Even if you don't use his method for the chicken, the sauce is fantastic and I think probably not too high in calories because it does go quite a long way.

Honestly speaking, you dont need flour nor buttermilk.... youre adding unnecessary calories to a classic that doesnt need it.

Butter contains stearic acid - that is a heart-healthy acid...

If you are going to use olive oil - then consider doing lemon-basil w/fresh thyme, gahhhhhhhlic, sea salt and a splash of vinegar - the herbs become more floral with the use of olive oil.

Alton Brown (Good Eats) has an extremely AWESOME method for prepping/baking chicken wings - and offers a couple varieties of sauces to choose/make from. He keeps it simple, natural and so much healthier than wheat flour...

There are plenty of fresh hot sauces on the market that contain no preservatives/chemicals, use a little of the melted butter (which intensifies the heat very well), add your spices to the sauce, coat well...
