Howdy fellow fitness pals!! Though Im just introducing myself Ive had MFP for a little while. I just kinda....fell off the wagon >_____< Im hoping having more people to cheer me on would encourage me to do better! I know, its sad I need that kind of motivation u____u But I am trying my best!!
Im trying to slim down not only for my health but my self esteem. I have pudge in all the wrong places and it needs to go! lol Im hoping to get more energy from eating better since my number one problem with working up the nerve to exercise is that body always feel so....blah.
So, I would appreciate not only any helpful hints but as much encouragement as you can spare!!!
Side note, my only means of working out is probably walking around at work. And maybe our Xbox 360 Kinect and the Wii....but Im so self conscious I cant work up the nerve to utilize the latter unless Im alone. And thats very rare T____T
But once again, Im going to try my best!!!

MOTIVATIONAL BEAM!!! There I've blasted you with motivation :P YOU CAN DO IT! I was doing pretty swell there for a while but I too have fallen off the bandwagon. Yesterday was the first day I picked myself up and have started again. I've been hitting the gym a lot. I try to go after I get off work at least 4 times a week. With a little push and friendly support, I think we can all hit our goal

I think thats my biggest problem. The cravings. Im doing better about steering clear of the higher calorie stuff but I do have my weak moments like any normal person would. Any advice towards knocking out cravings would be much appreciated.
*Sigh*
Oh well, slow and steady wins the race. Oh, and any of you feel free to add me as a friend! The more people to bug me the more likely I am to stay on the wagon!!0 -

Well I know exactly what you mean. My advice to you about those craving. Eat. I know what you're thinking... WHAT?! EAT?! YOU CRAZY FOOL! lol but it's always good to eat when you're hungry. Your body will go into starvation mode and it will be terrible on your metabolism. So eating small healthy meals every 2 to 3 hours will not only be healthy for you, but it will keep that metabolism running! YESSS! lol but that's what I've been doing. I started my diet back yesterday and I'm already feeling healthier. Oh and it's always good to go out and walk for 20 minutes after you eat your breakfast. That kick starts your body as well I shall add you as a friend!0 -
Ah! Awesome advice! I will try that! I should warn that most of my cravings center around fast food -_____- Cant resist those McDonalds fries. But a friend who turned me onto to MFP told me to start trying to keep a journal of what I eat and how it makes me feel. And fast food gives me major itis after I eat it. And Im lazy enough as it is so Ill try a little harder to steer clear. Maybe instead of BK get some Subway instead. Or a salad. More water even.
And yeah, I know how much starvation mode sucks. Was in the hospital twice for it. Killer on my monthly bills Ill tell you that. And it worried alot of close friends and family so I wont be trying that again.0
