Starvation mode questions

A few questions regarding the starvation mode:
Over what period of time does this change in metabolism occur ? hours? days? weeks?
How does one prevent this from occurring while getting the max. weight loss possible?
How does exercise play a part in this process both positively and negatively?
How does one reverse the effects of starvation mode without weight gain?
Just want to avoid this or at least recognize it before it happens. I've been averaging between 400-700 calories below my recommended intake. Thanks!!

You can change your metabolism in 21 days. If you eat within an hour of waking up, this will take your body out of fat storing mode and start fat burning mode. Eat every 2 to 3 hours during the day. Your meals should be in these ranges:
Men
calories between 400 to 600
protein between 15 to 40
carbs 30 to 50
fat 20 to 30% or LESS of total calories
fiber at least 5 g (30 to 38 grams per day)
sodium LESS than 700 mgs
snacks should be 300 calories or less
women
calories between 300 to 500
protein between 15 to 30
carbs 30 to 45
fat 20 to 30% or LESS of total calories
fiber at least 5 g (20 to 25 grams per day)
sodium LESS than 700 mgs
snacks should be 200 calories or less
drink all your water and exercise daily
If you follow these basic rules, you can get your metabolism burning up the fat. You need to make sure you are coming close to eating all your calories for the day.0 -
