Hey yo MFPer's,
I have a bag of pears I need to use up before they go bad and I'm looking for bread/muffin recipes for them if anyone has them. Figured someone has to have some idea's what to do with them that's also healthy lol.. I have about 10lbs of them. I don't have the canning supplies to say make pear butter.. but figured I could do a low cal bread or muffin or whatever and then take them to work LOL.. So I don't have to eat it all hehe
Thanks

When in doubt ......freeze it!

I've not tried this with pears. The texture may suffer a bit .... but at least you have magageable portions for smoothies & baking down the road. Lemon juice will help prevent browning.0 -
It's not a bread or muffin, but I have a Turkey Pear Cilantro breakfast sausage recipe! They taste awesome and only 157 calories for 2 patties! Let me know if you'd like it.0

I like "insert fruit here" spinach salad.

2 tbsp pumpkin seeds

For "Other" I make broiled pears with goat cheese and walnuts. So good!

Also, I would suggest boiling some down into Pear Sauce or Pear Butter, like applesauce or Apple butter. Just boil in a bit of water with spices and/or some sugar/sweetener until desired consistency. And you could freeze some for later use too!0 -
