My first day here

Today is the first day I use this site and app. I'm 43 and from Louisiana. I want to lose about 70 lbs all together. I want to live watch my grandchildren grow up and get married. They are my life and I want to be with them in everything they do. My grandkids are 5 and 1. I can't exercise a lot due to a back injury 6 years ago so I'm kinda limited to what I can do. I have a neuro stimulator to help with the pain in my back and it does help some but I'm still in pain every day. Maybe losing more weight will help. I've lost about 40 lbs 4 years ago and have only gained 10 back so that's great for me. I was going to WW back then and my oldest daughter was in a horrible car accident that almost killed her but she's still here with us and I'm thankful everyday for her still here. She's the one who has given us our grandchildren. It's so fun to have them around. I want to be able to do more with them and I'm hoping that losing weight will help my pain so that I'm able to do more things with them. Feel free to add me as a friend. I hope to stay motivated. Never done this kinda thing before.

Welcome aboard.
I know all about back pain, I ruptured a disc on the job about 16 years ago and it really has not been the same. I had weight-loss surgery June 26 since then I've lost 43 pounds with a total of 75 pounds since January 30.
This is new to me too but I am enjoying it. Great people, helpful information & support.
Feel free to add me and again welcome aboard :flowerforyou: :bigsmile:0 -
Great job on that loss you made, and maintaining it pretty nicely. You should be back to that then onwards in no time. Goodluck on your journeys0

Hi! I'm Tracy and I'm from Louisiana too...Baton Rouge to be exact. I also have suffered with low back pain (herniated discs).(' I had surgery 4 years ago. I know how it is to have to be careful about what kind of exercise you do. I also broke my ankle earlier this year and am still trying to get it back to normal. My exercise of choice is walking. I have three grown children, two kids still at home, and two wonderful granddaughters:) I'm pretty new to MFP too; I've been here almost three weeks. I have found the food and exercise journal very helpful. I'm working out getting healthy, fit, and , well, let's face it...I want to look fab too....before my 50th bday in April. Welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend!0
