Survival Race/Mud Run in the morning!

I'm so excited! I'm going to be doing my first 5k Survival Race tomorrow morning! This is something I never would have even CONSIDERED doing 6 months/55 pounds ago. I'm so excited! I'm not by any means a runner, but I know I can do this! I also have an AWESOME friend doing it with me.

Quick question...how do I go about logging this as exercise? I know there's no real way to be exact since it's an obstacle course, but I'd like to at least try to get in the ballpark.

Thanks in advance

Sorry I have no idea how to log it, but that sound so fun and challenging. Good luck and congrats on your weight loss !
  • I'd just log it as running for however long it takes and call it good. I'm doing a mud run/obstacle course tomorrow morning....i guess it's today now as well. Log it as running and now you're ahead

I'd figure out your run pace by distance of the entire race and the time it takes you to do it. Then log it as running at that pace (which will be a little slower than you would have run without the obstacles). Your HR won't drop significantly during the obstacles.
