HI, kinda new and looking for friends for support!

Hi!

My name is Ally

I joined a few weeks ago but never started using my account properly! But I'm back to use it now but would love to have some friends to share my journey with as well as give and receive support!

I started back at uni a couple of weeks, after a very long summer of eating rubbish, although I was working out too. When I got here I was ready to get started but Freshers Week or fortnight has really messed my plans up. Was woken up this morning by a call from one of the trainers at the gym asking why I hadn't been for 2 weeks and if I wanted a session to get me back into the swing of things...It was the push I needed...I've booked in with him for tomorrow morning...Talking to him made me want to start a fresh and I thought I'd come back to this and give it a proper go this time!

Over the last few years, I've had highs and lows trying to lose weight but haven't really got very far. But I actually want to lose the weight once and for all because I am sick of it preventing me from doing things I really want to do.

Anyway that's quite a long hello...

Thanks

Ally

You can do this. Just remember it is one day at a time. Each day is new. Good Luck and add me if you like.

Welcome., Ally! I'm assuming you are in college, so I am a lot older than you, but we do have something in common:) like you., I have decided its time to finally make a lifestyle change (not just go on a diet, only to gain the wright back again), and to lose this weight for good! All the best to you!

Hi, Ally! My name is Linda and I live in Central Indiana. I'm assuming you are a Brit from the some of the wording and phrases. I know exactly what you mean about committing to a weight loss program or regimen several times throughout your life but wanting to do it for real this time. That's me, too. I have joined every diet plan and program known to man and made up a few myself. But the one underlying thing in all of them is: Eat right, exercise moderately and drink water. That is the basis of every plan so why should I pay someone x number of dollars a month to tell me to eat Lean Cuisine? Finding this site is the best thing I could have done. It was recommended by my nutrition coach at the Y. I like that I can keep track of how many calories I have eaten. Writing it down really helps!
So any way, hang in there and do it this time! Hope all goes well with your trainer.
