According to my dashboard, my daily goal of calories 1240 calories per day, I thought it was 1320. I've burned 1235 in gardening and other exercise. I've consumed 611 calories over the day . Now according to my dashboard I have 1884 calories left!!! What's going on?

Each time you enter an "exercise" like gardening etc it figures those are calories from activities that you did not consider when you set up you "Normal" activity level, as a result it gives you those calories over what you would normally burn. Budget (normal activity level input) = Normal daily expenditure based on age weight sex and activity level- calories in goal (250 calories per half pound). Don't know if that helps not the best writer/communicator.
I would caution you to be very conservative as to what you call exercise, I usually call it that if I only do it to work toward my goal of weight loss or fitness etc. Often the estimates can be high as to what you burn also, so if you are not conservative and you use high estimates than you end up thinking you can eat more calories and that is counter productive.

Base plus exercise minus intake is what you have left.
