In a bind, and have to juice for 3 days
Anyone have any suggestions on something that
A; isn't disgusting
B; high in nutrients
C; can be done in a blender (no problem in straining it, though)
Bonus points if it would taste good as a popcicle. Having my tonsils out on weds., eating will suck.

I couldn't do fruit for the first 3 days because the sugar and acidity burned. I ended up living on chicken broth and water.0

Make smoothies.....fruit is good, you can add milk or yoghurt too, honey if you like it. Adding oats makes it thicker but you can dilute with some water or extra fruit juice. Smoothies can be made and frozen like popsicles.
Why not make soup? That's liquid too and luke warm is ok.
I had a great recipie for a chilled avocado soup...a raw soup which was very nice, you may find recipies on the internet.0 -

Thanks!
Doc said cold/frozen food 1st 2-3 days. I've been sick and on antibiotics for 3 weeks, so nutrient empty/fasting is just a bad idea when I need to heal.
Broth doesn't have much nutrients unless home made so I think I'll do that.
Thanks for all the suggestions, peeps, appreciate it, will def. look at the peach pie juicy thing!0 -
Greek yogurt might be a good way to go.
I lived on a soft foods, no solid meat diet for 10 weeks due to a surgical nightmare. My regular foods during that time were:
Mashed potatoes
Refried beans
Cottage cheese
Yogurt
Jello
Pudding
Kefir life way drinks (must do if you're going to be taking antibiotics)
Ice cream
Sherbet
Needless to say a lost a considerable amount of weight but I was not healthy.0 -
anything, flavor, fruit, veggie you want. Any combo. STICK TO HEALTHY THO! LOL
6 ice cubes
water til it'll blend
blend
breakfast- add some yogurt, fibre one cereal, skim milk to the ice cubes. It'll fill u (the fibre), you wont taste the bland fibre, and its awesome
When the ex had his mouth wired shut, besides it being the best 7wks of our marriage, he ate everything thru a straw. Including coffee and doughnuts blended..ya.. dont do that.. but chinese food even still tastes like chinese food thru a straw..i tried it.0 -
