    nothing. as long as you're not going way over 200 grams a day you're fine. aim for 1 gram of protein per lb of body mass or if you're obese, 1 gram of protein per lb of lean body mass.

    MFP sets protein low to start with your fine going over what mfp rec. I personaly have a goal to be over on protein each day :)

    I treat protein as a "goal" on here. Not a limit. Like fiber. :smile:
    And I don't worry at all if I go over.

    Unless you have a medical reason to limit your protein intake, don't worry about going over.

    One day? Pretty much nothing. If you do it every day (assuming you're using MFP's default macro settings), the most noticeable side effect may be that you'll preserve lean body mass (muscle) while losing fat - especially if combined with a strength training program.

    In other words - MFP's protein settings are very low. Unless you have liver/kidney problems, a significantly higher protein intake is helpful rather than harmful. Don't fret over "bulking up" - unless you're lifting very heavy and often, eating at a caloric excess and taking anabolic/androgenic steroids, it's not going to happen.
