My 50,000th Day 1

Hello everyone!
I am the type of person who lacks the self-control gene. Just when I think maybe I can actually do it this time, I fail... over and over again. I am dubbing this my 50,000th day one that I've taken with the hops that maybe a metaphorical/theoretical milestone will make me feel more obligated to actually stick to a diet for once.
So far today, all I've eaten is a wheat bagel with reduced fat cream cheese. While that's not the best thing I could have eaten, it will keep me full through the work day and will (hopefully) force me to make a better choice when it comes to lunch time. I'm stuck in the office until at least 2PM, so I wanted to make sure I had something that would hold me over for 5 hours (unlike fruit).
Finally, my story...
I've been stuck at the same weight (with minor fluctuations) for the past two years. I just can't seem to shake the weight. I started dating this guy Matt, and he was a super health nut (no carbs, lots of fruit type of guy). His healthiness has somewhat rubbed off on me to the point where I feel incredibly guilty if I eat carbs, and while I was an avid fruit and veggie lover before, I find myself wanting to eat them more and more. He also asked me to run with him during the week (which I hate), but gave it a try and definitely was starting to see some results.
So, with this in mind, I decided to start MyFitnessPal again and strive for success. Here are my goals:
1. Goal weight: 115lbs
2. Goal size: Levi's Jeans, size 4
3. Run a half marathon on February 24, 2012
Three goals seems manageable enough for now, right?
I will begin to attempt the Eat to Live Diet by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. I have a feeling I'll be a little more flexible with my dieting than he calls for, but it will be a guideline nonetheless.Good luck to everyone on their journey.

Long and short of it, is I would love to get and give some motivation with someone like me who wants to lose too!! I wanna start today also.........my millionth time probably. I am a chocolate addict so was hoping to do south beach for 2 weeks to get rid of my cravings. I ate an egg, 1 slice of turkey bacon and some zucchini all pan fried in spray pam. Let's do this!!

I know all about a gaggle of Day 1 starts. Thankfully, I've been in the mindset for a while and making small adjustments along the way. But, last night, the roommate and I sat down and mulled over our current style of living. We eat out too much. We watch too much TV. We eat too much junk food. So, we made grocery lists, we inventoried our kitchen cabinets, we made schedules...including a regular household Rise & Shine time since we're both on second shift schedules. We got up this morning, we both had small meals, I had a packet of oatmeal & she had a shakeology. Then we headed off to the pool. She's not a water bug, but she worked hard and I was proud! She's downstairs doing an Insanity workout. I am not able to do as much "dry land" working out due to some arthritis problems, but I'll be going out for a walk with our dog a little later in the day. I just made a green smoothie and scrambled two eggs. We're both excited about our Day 1! We can't wait to see Day 90....New Year's Eve!!!!0
