Fitbit users...help!

Ok I started wearing my fitbit today and I'm a little confused. Do we continue to wear it while we work out? Do we let the fitbit log that for us or do we log our time into MFP ourselves? How many of you wear it when sleeping? Do you find that beneficial? and...I don'tlike the way it feels against my skin. is it ok to wear on my pants pocket? Ialso noticed its giving me back my calories to eat from the steps I have taken today. Do we really need to eat those back?

Most of that is personal choice. I wear my fitbit all the time (except in water). I no longer log activities like walking and running, I just let the fitbit take care of it. I do log strength training and swimming still. If you choose to log walking/running, it is important to include the time of the workout on MFP so fitbit calories dont get counted twice.

Sometimes I wear mine at night on my bra or pj pants and during the day it is on that useless small pocket of the jeans. i dont notice it at all.

I also dont eat back calories unless I am hungry.

It takes some time to adjust to having the fitbit and all the little details of having it and MFP. My advice would be try one method for a week or two and if you dont like it, switch it up. Find what you like, what you can handle, and what works for you.

I wear mine all the time other than in water and I let fitbit do the cals for me since I normaly jog as a workout or take long walks. If I happen do do eliptical or something else I take the fitbit off and use my HRM for the cal burn then put my fitbit back on after. I do sleep with my fitbit on my night shirt and it dose effect my cals since I get up alot during the night (more then I ever really noticed before between the kids , and taking animals out to potty and well myself to the bathroom I get quite a few steps and a few flights of stairs in almost every night). Where you wear it is personal choice I personaly don`t even feel it on my bra and like that its not visible to everyone else around me :) but if you like it better on the jeans thats fine also I saw someone on fitbit forums said he wore his in the little pocket of his shoes lol so really its just where ever you want to place it that is comfy for you. Though watch out getting it too sweaty fitbit ultra dosen`t like water or sweat a whole lot (you can read about it on fitbit forums).

ETA= I do eat my exercise cals back :)

The extra calories you earn remember depends on what you set your activity level to, on MFP. I set it to sedentary as I like to see extra caliries added in. Without these extra I would be on 1200 cals a day so I eat back about half of my extra. If you we're set to a higher activity level, you may not get as big an adjustment so then you might not eat them at all. Let me know if that dkesnt make sense.

I wore my fitbit while I did turbo fire. (I also wore my HRM.). FitBit logged me like 500 calories for that time (I think.). And MFP I logged myself at 591. (My HRM showed 630.).

So is there anyway to get rid of the Fitbit 500 added on, because then it looks like I had double the exercise.

When you log it w/the start time, # of minutes and calories it will then adjust your fitbit adjustment (sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes or so).
