Duh, how stupid am I?

I have read a million threads on this site..I have been steadily eating around 1500 + exercises calories (give or take) for a month.
The last week my weight loss slowed quite a bit..(yes I know I am very close to my target) so I thought I would redo my calorie goals..MFP gave me 1200 for loosing a lb a week, which I thought was ridiculous, so did 1300... didn't do any excessive execise yesterday..just normal stuff and then woke up in the night starving hungry.
This morning my DH said but of course, the scales give you a BMR of 1375, so you can't eat under that!
Can I call it a brain fart..going to back to 1500 + exercise calories
