Hi all
I need suggestions for an effective Pilates DVD. I want something that actually works, but that won't take an hour to complete. Also, I would like something that doesn't require a bunch of fancy steps, bars, bands etc. I have free weights and a mat at home, but not much more specific equipment.

Suggestions?

The 10 minute solutions DVD's are good. I have the beginners one which is a little hard for a beginner but it's split up into sections so you don't have to do the full hour if you don't want to.

I highly recommend Gaiam DVDs. Ana Caban is perky & a bit annoying, but gets the job done. Suzanne Deason is a bit slower and easier to tolerate. Jillian Hessel- feels too easy.

I know you want a DVD but if you're willing to do the Internet, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pop Pilates with Cassie Ho.

She's got a ton of videos to choose from, you can choose the level you want and the area you want to work. No equipment, just a mat.

It's like working out with a friend, too!

    Thanks all!
Right now, I have a Crunch pilates DVD and it just seems a little too cheesy and easy. So I may have to try the Gaiam selection!

Physique 57 is an awesome program. The DVD set comes with a 57 minute dvd, an express dvd and arms & abs. The program uses the barre method/pilated. The moves are hard but low impact if you have leg problems. The goal is to have your muscles go to muscle overload. Then an awesome stretch after each circuit.
