HI all! I am Clair, 38, mom of 4. And frustrated. I can not seem to get a pound to drop, not for anything! My body is holding on to all my fat with all of its might. GRRR. Workout 3-5x a week, depending on schedule. Try to watch what I eat. And no movement on the scale. But I have not quit...yet! I have lost around 20-22lbs in the past 18 months, 10 of those in the past 8 months. That just seems wayyyy too slow, especially for all that I have been doing. Some days I just do not want to get up and hit the gym because it seems fruitless. But I go, knowing that even if I am not losing I am still staying active.

Maybe I can pick up some hints or ideas here...or at least find folks who can sympathize LOL :)

Hi Clair, don't give up! I was going to the gym about the same and working out at the gym but of course I did not know what I was really doing. I finally hired a personal trainer, a young man who has never struggled with weight but it was the best thing I ever did. He was completely nonjudgemental and only wanted to see me suceed. We reviewed what my goals were for working out, weight loss, strengthing..... and then he taylored a program for me and worked right along side of me. I was doing all of the wrong things during my workouts on my own and I have learned so much from him. I now take his fittness class but my struggle is with my food intake, I love food and I can find a reason for every occasion to be a food celebration. So now I need to get my food intake under control. You can do this, have faith and good luck!
