Completing your food diary

Do you have to complete your food diary every day? I like how it says the estimated weight you'll be in 5 weeks if you keep on eating the same amount of calories but does completing it have a purpose other than that? I usually don't complete it even though I log in every day.

You don't have to do anything. That's the beauty of MFP.

I always click complete because I like the sense of satisfaction and seeing the estimated weight.
  • I click complete on the same diary probably like 3 times each day because late night water, it's main use I believe is just for the estimated weight or for automatically announcing your exercise and food diary to your profile and friends.
  • It's also nice to get support from your friends when they see what your doing. They can give great advice and a sense of encouragement when it posts.

    Best to you,

I click complete because it puts a note on my wall so my mfp friends can give me feedback
  • It's helpful to complete the food dairy every day, it can predict what your future loss will be if you continue at the same pace. I hope I don't just speak for myself when I say that there are some days when I am over and others when I am under my calorie goals. To see the results when under kind of motivates me to stay away from the late night snacking!
  • It helps when you decide to use the Nutrition Reports.
