I actually gained weight going off it and have been steadily putting it on since--dr's believe I'm sort of hormonally imbalanced.

Same here, I actually might have gained a few pounds when I went off it a few months ago. My body does NOT like being off the pill, lol, starting back up this week.

I changed from the pill to Nuvaring about 3 months ago and I've seen no significant weight loss change. I've lost a couple lbs since then, but I was losing at around the same rate when I was on the pill.

I personally never had an issue with the pill and weight, but I was on Mirena the last three years and just had it out a couple weeks ago because I'm 99.9% certain it was causing me to gain and making it impossible to lose. A LOT of other women had the same issue with it, but obviously not all.

So if you think the pill is your problem, it might be. The only way to know is stop it and see what happens. I think my body is still adjusting to the change of BC, since it's only been two weeks, but I'm hoping to see a change soon.

I'm on the pill right now, but the plan is a tubal ligation when I have my gallbladder out and NO MORE HORMONES! lol But I'm done having babies, too.

I'd like to know this as well. I haven't been off birth control since I was pregnant with my daughter, and was on it for 4 years before i got pregnant (got pregnant while on the pill...)... so I've been on it for 8 years of my life. 4 years on the pill, 4 years with Mirena. When my Mirena comes out next year, I'm trying to decide whether I should get another, go back to the pill, or go off BC completely to try and get my hormones back into their natural rhythm.

I had no significant changes to my weight when I went off the pill. But I also did not gain when I went on it like many do. I just went back on it and had no weight changes.
