chronic lung disease

hi there

I have chronic lung disease (or had, years ago) and my ribcage is shaped such because of the circumstances of the birth, that it hurts to breathe deeply.

It hurts all the time when I laugh or cry or just sigh, but it hurts in a different place when I do exercise The pain feels like a stitch, but in my lungs.

as the pain is constant and it hurts whether I do exercise or not, should I just go ahead? I went to the doctor's but they got lost in diagnosing me with a heart condition, which I don't have, and forgot the original reason I even went.

anyone else have this problem or any ideas? or a long term illness? thank

You know your body best. My advice would be simply to start exercising slowly. Do not push too hard. Gradually increase time and intensity. Listen to your body.

I agree, give it a go, gently at first, record what you managed and try to improve slightly next time. With chronic lung disease you'll have to build it up slowly, but provided you do not get dizzy, palpitations, chest pain and feel OK after, exercise should do you good.

    Good luck!
