I seriously started using MFP from Feb 2012, so it only took me a little under 6 months to lose 6 stone 2 pounds (86 pounds)...

Thank you to all for your comments. I'm very embarrassed about how I looked back then, but I think it's important for anyone using MFP to see that it DOES work if you can put the effort into a healthier lifestyle.

Did you run the Baxters this year?
I did the 10k on Sunday its an amazing race, well done0 -
Yes I did run the 10K and did it in 1:10:07 which was 20 mins off of my personal best. I've now signed up for three marathons for 2013 <eep!>0

Hi nas061 - I initially set my goal to lose 2lbs per week, and my calorie intake was 1250 per day... I generally had a cup of coffee with skimmed milk, and one egg (either poached or as an omelette) for breakfast, then I would have aroun 400-450 calories for lunch and 500-600 for dinner.
I use a lot of recipes from www.bbcgoodfood.com and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS plan my whole week of meals in advance so that I shop accordingly and can work out what I want to eat each day.0 -
