So... this last 30 lbs has been harder than the rest to say the least. I am stuck, losing only tenths of a pound a week, and sometimes nothing. I don't ever gain, but I'm really not losing like I want to be.
So I looked at a few things- alcohol will be eliminated for one. Also, i noticed that I'm almost always over in fat, carbs, and protein, even though i hardly go over my daily calorie goal. Doe these really have a negative effect?
And, I've recently starting running on a regular basis, few miles every other day at LEAST. But then I eat all the calories back? Is this bad?
My diary is open and yes, I know i don't make the best food choices... but if i was good at this i wouldn't have a problem right? Id much rather eat one bite of a cupcake than a whole plate of veggies... horrible i know, but i almost always stay under my calorie goal. I would welcome any advice/suggestions please.

Try switching up your workout routine. Have you tried p90x or insanity? Also try to eat clean as much as you can. I know its tough. But you look like you've done an amazing job so far! What an inspiration0

I have a few tips that may help;
-keep your bad fats intake like butter, mayo, cheese, fatty red meat, and salad dressing around 20 grams a day. (grams not calories)
-Give yourself one or two rewards during the week. If you're badly craving a cupcake then work extra that day and have a cupcake but have it before 3 pm so your body has time to work it off.
-I find i have better results not eating all of the calories that I worked towards. (Fun tip-3500 calories is one pound)
Good luck and I think you're making awesome progress =D0 -
I've read and heard that it's easier to lose weight early on in the process. I'm experiencing the same thing and it's frustrating to not see those big numbers showing up, in terms of lbs lost since last weigh-in.
You have to change things up to trick your body. Best of luck! BTW, from your before/after pic it's clear you've put in the work to this point; great job.0 -
Sometimes changing your workout routine is effective. If your body gets used to one way of exercising, it will adjust to perform more efficiently, which is good for it, but not great for weight loss. Oftentimes, shocking your body with a different type of workout will kickstart that burn.
If you belong to a gym, cycling/spin classes are great and burn a TON of calories.
Also, do you own a heart rate monitor? The Polar FT7 (which I have) and FT4 seem to be popular on MFP. If not, they're great because they allow you to focus on your fat burning zone (60-70% of your max heart rate). It actually doesn't feel like a hard workout, but it maximizes fat burn, rather than burning sugars from the food you just ate.
You've clearly accomplished a huge amount, so don't get too down on the plateau. Just use trial and error until you find something that works and fits your lifestyle.0 -

That's my first plan... I have been training for the last 2 months for my first race, which is this Sunday! After that, my plan is to switch up the workout routine and keep a good variety0
