Alright, I have been lifting for quite a few months. Did the Jamie Eason thing to begin with and it really got me started. But after phase 2 i was bored.
I started doing a new set of lifting that went like this:
example
Leg extentions:
60 lbs x12 reps
65 lbs x 10 reps
70 lbs x 8 reps
75 lbs x 6 reps
60 lbs x 12 reps
do this for about 7 different exercises upper/lower alternate days.
I THOUGHT I was 'lifting heavy'! HA HA HA HA :noway:
So been stuck where I was for three months or so (imagine that :grumble: ) and finally started talking to this chick at my gym. GREAT girl, really sweet, VERY fit! Anywho she mentioned that I needed to lift heavy to which I replied "I thought I was" After talking with her for the better part of the week (between sets) I gained new information. I needed to lift more weight fewer times!! OK so it was shocking for me, but maybe not for ya'll.
HERE is what I cant believe I did today!!
Full squats 75 lbs x 8 90 lbs x 8 105 lbs x7
Leg press 180 lbs x 8 250 lbs x 8 270 lbs x 8
Leg extensions 80 lbs x 8 90 lbs x 8 100 lbs x 8
leg curls 100 x 8 115 x 8 130 x 8
Standing calf raise 160 x 8 210 x 8 210 x 8
and 15 interval running on the treadmill.
not to shabby for a 43 year young woman!!
