What's your NSV today???

I wobbled and had a really bad few days and gained about 4lbs. So, first part of the NSV is that I didn't let it bring me down, my friend on MFP helped get me back on track and I have lost those pounds again.

However.... the second part of this NSV is that, even though I have got back to the same number on the scale, my measurements are down MORE which shows that all my walking (while pushing a double stroller and carrying another baby in a back pack) is working at toning up the rear end!!!

LOVE hearing all the success stories here but I find the NSV's are the best!

Nice job on getting over that hump!

I've been pulling out old fall/winter clothes as it gets colder -- and my pants/sweaters are all noticeably looser than they were when I packed them up... So I tried on a super old pair of jeans I haven't been able to fit into since college practically, and they slid right up! :D

Getting out of the car at home from the gym today, the FedEx guys slowed down and checked me out. That hasn't happened in YEARS! Major ego boost. Yeah baby.

nsv is a non scale victory....

My nsv today was being able to put my socks on just by bending over....I didn't have to sit sideways on the couch and pull my foot up. Big nsv! haven't been able to reach my feet in ages.

My NSV: I'm currently sitting (comfortably) in a pair of jeans that I could barely button in July.

The dress I'm wearing today was, frankly, too damn small a while ago. I wore it anyway, but it was *ahme* snug. Today though I have to keep checking the zip as the dress is loose enough to keep making me paranoid that the zip is open.

I've been losing so sloooooowwwwwly, but my pants have been getting looser. This morning, I thought I would try some old pants that had grown too snug, and are a size smaller, AND THEY FIT!!

13 pounds does make a difference.

Just bought a new pair of jeans today because the new pair I bought just 2 weeks ago is too big. Down 9" in the waist measurement since I started.

Last week while on vacation we played 2 rounds of putt-putt. I was able to bend over and retrieve my ball out of the hole every time. A year ago when we played I could not do that.

A couple of days ago I looked in the mirror and saw a different face looking back at me.

I've started pulling clothes from the back of the closet that haven't seen the light of day since I got pregnant over three years ago. I'm a little diappointed that I haven't needed to buy new jeans yet but I'm on the smallest notch on all my belts.

    Way to go - inspiring!
  • Tried on a size 8 skinny jeans last night and they fit great! I am currently still wearing size 10s because that's what I have, but they're all getting a little big on me so I thought i'd try for the hell of it. I was sooo happy they fit!

Avoided home-made cookies in the kitchen at the office!
  • My NSV today was having to go through 3 pairs of pants before I found a pair that fit. The previous ones were too big. :)

I also realized this morning that I don't even think about taking the elevator in my building anymore. I automatically take the steps. Down and Up.

    Woot!

Who's better than all of us today???

    NO ONE!!! That's who! :)

I discovered this morning that in the last 4.5 weeks, I have lost 4.4 lbs, but my UGW has gone up by 1 lb (I go by BF%, not weight)!. That tells me that I have lost fat, and not lean mass! All this time I thought I was just losing lean mass and not making any real progess! That's the pick me up I needed (and why I feel weighing yourself every day is good for you!)
  • My NSV was being able to handle working out 6 out of 7 days last week...and I worked out 3 times yesterday for 25 - 45 minutes each.

I'm packing up my summer clothes to give away instead of putting them away. Next year I will be 2 to 3 sizes smaller. Already dropped sizes this year too. Woo Hoo.

NSV today was being able to do 20 reps with 70# dumbbells on bench. This isn't anything I would normally think of as a NSV but I haven't been able to lift upper body in 4 weeks due to a shoulder injury so I was really surprised I was able to do that many!

It's still early today, so i'm gonna go with my NSV from last night.

I was craving a snack last night after dinner, drank some water, made a cup of tea, still wanted a snack (and had my sights set on my hubby's Snickers bar in the pantry that was calling out to me). For no less than 15 minutes I argued with myself over whether to just eat the Snickers or not. I found a substitute: grape tomatoes. I got my sweet fix and something that was really, truly good for me. Plus, I would have had to throw them away in a couple days so less food waste. Yay! Crisis: averted.

I get ravenously hungry around my TOM, and my willpower towards junk food has a tendency to disintegrate very easily. For me, this was a huge NSV.
  • i did 100 squats over 4 hours...previously unheard of!

My daughter gave me a hug last night and told me I wasn't as squishy as I used to be, but she was sad because she said Mommas are supposed to be squishy. I told her I didn't want to be squishy any more.

Just got a copy of my lab results from my recent physical - cholesterol 149, triglycerides 70, HDL 41 and LDL 94. Six months ago, the total was 201 and all the other numbers were the opposite of what they should be.

    Yay, exercise!!!
  • Woke up early today, went to look in the mirror like always, and look at my back for the first time in awhile, and it seems I've lost weight there for sure ^^
