New here- need some friends to motivate

Hi everyone! My name is April and I am a homegrown, meat and potatoes fed "Hoosier". With that being said, there is really no explanation needed as to why I find myself joining this website. As a kid, every single one of our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) included a potato, a meat, a vegetable loaded with some form of cream or cheese sauce, salt and butter, bread and something sweet. I am on the healthy wagon now, and I don't let food control me. I have had a few weak moments, and have fallen off of the wagon a couple of times in my 6 month journey, but have gotten right back on again. I have lost 43 pounds so far since March of this year, and I have 10 more to go. Whoever it was that said that the last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose certainly new what they were talking about! I have been stuck for a month at the same weight...talk about frustrating! I am needing some online friends on this site who might be able to exchange some words of encouragement and give some big old cyber space pats on the back. So please, if you have room in your friends list for just one more friend, add me! I currently feel like such a loser, as I only have 2 friends on here, and one is my husband so he was kind of obligated! lol. Thanks all!

Hi , April! I grew up in a very similar way, with meat and potatoes being the staple of my diet. I've been working on getting healthy and fit for 3 years and have lost 65 pounds. I have 25 pounds to go, and they've been much harder than the last pounds. I'd love to help support you through your last 10 pounds and receive support in return!

Hi April...and Sara too. :) I have a trainer, run/walk two miles five days a week, but for some reason weight is not coming off of me. I ended up gaining muscle weight, which they say is good, but I no longer weigh myself anymore. In fact, I do not even own a scale. I am, like you, wanting to lose ten pounds. I'll be happy to be your friend because I have none of here.

Hi, I am new here as well, and thanks to my wonderful brother in law who is motivating me and breaking it all down into simple terms I ahave joyned my fitness pal. I am hopeing to loose around 15 pounds, its really hard because I work In an Emergency Department and work 16 hour shifts, and its hard to find time to eat. I think my best bet is to prepare and start bringing my food and snacks. i wish you the best of luck!!!!
