I need to eat more

According to my trainer I am not consuming enough calories! I never though I would hear that, but apparently it's true. I need ideas on what I can add to my daily meals/snacks throughout the day to help increase my calorie intake.

On a note, I am a vegetarian (lifestyle choice, not something to help me lose weight) and I am gluten intolerant. Any tips would greatly help!

increased portion sizes would be the easiest...

fats will be your best friend.
    avocado
    nuts/nut butter
    cook with oils (olive, coconut)
    add flaxseed

tubers and starchy carbs....sweet potatoes, potatoes, squash

i swear by sunflower seeds, calorie dense and perfect for when you need to top of your calories but aren't really that hungry.
  • add flaxseed to everything

milk/coconut milk/almond milk to cook oatmeal or to drink with meals

    hummus and veggies

brown rice/oats/quinoa --as hot cereal cooked with milk and cinnamon

    tofu cooked in olive oil

    bananas w/ pb

    apples w/pb

    nuts, trail mix, seeds

That's a really good idea, unfortunately it also has too much sodium! One thing I'm not lacking in!

As for the previous post, that's a great idea! All of it, I'm not much of a milk drinker, but I have been using it lately with all the meals I can.
