Your BMR is what you need to survive if you were in a coma, basically. You take your deficit from your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). If you click on the "my home" tab and then goals, you can see an estimate of your TDEE under calories burned from normal daily activity. There are also calculators online that can help you estimate your TDEE.

Yes eat them back. Just eat what MFP tells you to in order to reach your weekly weight loss goal

Fitness Frog has great calculators to help you figure out your TDEE and then you simply subtract about 15% to create your deficit. That will allow for a loss. The TDEE is what you would eat if you were at maintenance or goal. Hope this helps, best of luck to you!

This. Your deficit is not based on your BMR, it's based on your TDEE.

This too. Don't over think it... just do what MFP tells you to do.

I truly dont understand it either..

i am supose to eat 2050 a day & im more than coping eating 1400-1800,

then i can burn 200-600 calories,

theres just no way i can eat 2050 then eat an extra 200-600 on top if i have burnt them off during exercises

unless I'm mistake, It doesn't let you eat much volume of food, that doesn't mean you can't eat a lot of cals.

That sounds a little low to me, but could be reasonable... BMR of 1242 and TDEE of 1863.

It'll take some patients and maybe some tweaking, but start at TDEE - 15% for you daily goal... that would be ~1550. Don't log your exercises, don't eat back the cals. Hit 1550 each day with a reasonable balance of fats, carbs and protein. Do it for a month and see what happens.

I wouldn't mind eating them for you if I wouldn't gain anything from it :flowerforyou:
