Please help - Office candy bowls and back problems

Hi Everyone,
I love MFP and I have been so lucky to get as far as I have with this program. I recently hit a road block, hard. My back started to really bother me, so I went to have an MRI and turns out I have disc displacement. I am doing physical therapy to try to fix things. Ever since I found this out, it has been harder and harder to control my eating, especially in the office. There are candy bowls everywhere and my boss brought in doughnuts this morning. I don't know what happened. I was doing so great and then I just sort of fell off the wagon and it has been difficult to get back on it. I have friends doing this program with me, and I don't want to let them down, and most importantly, I don't want to let myself down. I get 1200 calories a day and when I stick to that, the weight comes off. My exercise is limited to none right now until my back heals. I am always more motivated with exercise. My physical therapist said I should be able to Pilates and Yoga in a few weeks, but I am so frustrated. I gained 2 lbs this week and I know I need to get back into this. Any advice anyone?
Thanks!

Take your lunch with you, count out all the calories ahead of time and don't allow yourself to eat anything extra. Planning meals is one of the best tricks.0

I hate black licorice, so that is what I would always tell myself was in the office candy bowls. Even if I'd see there were mini chocolate bars (fun size!) in there, I'd chant (silently) "licorice licorice licorice" until my appetite was gone. I really hate the stuff!
Hope your back issues will soon be a thing of the past.0 -
Yeah. most of the time I do take my lunch and snacks, but the temptations remain. I like the idea of visually them as something else as well to avoid them. I also found a buddy at work that is going to help me Thanks!!0

Do you log EVERYTHING on MFP, and do you have a bunch of MFP friends? The reason I ask... I found the motivation to stay away from "office snacks" just through knowing how many MFP friends were going to see my diary at the end of the day.
I can't count how many times I've walked by the box of donuts and made a conscious decision to pass. And now, I've been doing it long enough, that I don't even crave the donut when I walk by... I just smile to myself and revel in my willpower.0
