Does anyone have any recommendations for an app that will help with interval training as far as music goes...and timing and such?

I use Seconds Pro to do my walk/run intervals. I created my own timers, but they also have preset sample timers for stretches, HIIT, and more. You can either play music through the app or have it on in the background. I hope this helps!0

Its not exactly "interval" training, but the first few weeks of the Couch to 5k program is awfully similar. You can get some free ones that will beep you when its time to switch to walking/running. You would have to chose your own pace, but it could work until you find something more specific.
When you use it with music (at least the free version)... put the music on first (so it plays in the background) and then run the program...0 -
I use one called runkeeper. You can put in different interval programs (e.g. 1 miunte slow pace, 1 minute fast, 8 repetitions, with a warm up) yourself and then it allows you to exit the app to play music without stopping the program. It doesn't sync with music as such but you can listen to the music and then at the timed intervals it will say "one minute fast pace" etc.0

Impetus Interval Timer is a simple app. No music but if you have another music app I think you can run that in the background. I used this app and jogtracker for C25K before I bought my Garmin.0

For music you're on your own but just search for HIIT and you'll find several timers. The one I've used for over a year is free and works great. I have it programmed with all my routines. It's simply called HIIT timer0

^This. I second "Seconds". There is a seconds free and a seconds pro. You can check out the free version to see if you like it before paying for the other.0 -

This, but the one I use is called "Interval Run".0 -

PUT 10 MIN OF SLOW WARMUP SONGS ON. (USUALLY ABOUT THREE). THEN SWITCH BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN FAST AND SLOW SONGS TO GIVE YOURSELF AN INTERVAL AND A RECOVERY. IT'S EASY TO FIND SONGS IN THE 3-5 MINUTE RANGE FOR EQUAL INTERVAL AND RECOVERY. I LIKE TECHNO FOR INTERVALS, THE BEAT IS USUALLY FAST, AND THEN WHATEVER SLOW AND EASY SONGS YOU LIKE. DO 4-10 OF THESE INTERVAL SWITCH SONGS AND THEN FIND A SONG OR TWO THAT YOU KNOW ARE RECOVERY SONGS (YOU WILL BE DYING TO HEAR THESE!). tHIS IS A GREAT WAY TO DO INTERVALS WITHOUT BEING TIED TO A WATCH.0
