Office worker workout (?)

I work in an office setting and I was wondering if anyone here has a "desk workout" that I could do while working. Those days that I have off for my workout I would like to do something to prevent "office *kitten*". Any suggestions?
What do you do during when you sit in front of a computer for 8+ hours 5 days a week?

What training are you doing outside of the office?0

Request a stand up desk to get you off your *kitten* Some other tips; Walk around while on the phone. Buy dictation software so you can do crunches, push up etc while "writing" emails. Clinch your abs/butt/whatever while sitting there and focus on great posture.0

Every hour on the hour I get up and either go for a walk to the bathroom or I walk/jog in place by my desk for a few minutes. I am in an office by myself so there aren't any issues. I could do burpees or jumping jacks too. Get creative! Do some squats...wall sits...push ups, etc.0

If you have app friendly phone there is this app called workout trainer. they have all kinds of excercises that you could do. using office chairs, high impact, low impact you name it. and if for whatever reason a excercise that's in that routine you can't do you can skip it, or do something else until the next one. And the cool thing, it has 15 second rests in the routine... Hope this helps.0

A co-worker and I have traded in our office chair for an excercise ball. I find that I move around a lot more (admit it excercise balls are fun!), focus more on my posture, and it's easy to get in a few exercises during the day.0

Do this 4x per week:
Wait until you get off
Drive to a gym
Lift weights
drive home
Awesome workout for office employees.......
But seriously, get up and walk around some, but you can't really do much at work.0 -
Can you go for a walk during your lunch hour & eat at your desk afterwards? We have a nice big hill where I work ... nice to go outside and walk for 30 minutes. Bring an MP3 player, some light walking weights (hands) & stash a pair of shoes under your desk. When it's too hot ... or raining .....

Here are some suggestions for other stuff .... I wouldn't log this as a workout though ... pretty mild

I am doing a kettlebell mixed with HIIT 3x a week and cardio 2x a week. Monday and Friday are my rest days.0 -
If you're doing all that, I wouldn't bother trying to get a workout in at work.0

I started running regularly in the evenings to burn off even more calories. I used to walk and do weights but it sure didn't burn the calories or firm the legs like running does!0

I'd make a point of standing up at least once an hour, ideally more often than that, and doing some stretches.0 -
I just did this today--I printed out what I was working on, walked to the printer and reviewed the hard copy while standing (rocking and stretching) at the window. Took about 15 minutes to review and mark up, then went back to my desk and made the changes.
It was a nice change of pace for me and I think it was pretty helpful to walk around and get the weight off of my @$$ and onto my feet for a little while!
And tomorrow's a brand new day!0
