Low calorie sugar free gummy worms??!!! NOM NOM NOM
Options
I have deprived myself of gummy lollies for so long and have been indulging in sugar free jell-o for quite some time now... only to discover recently that you can make gummy candy with it!? WAIT WHAT?
This is new to me and I've been on MFP for about 9 months, so in case you haven't heard of it, this is how it is apparently made -
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 packages sugar-free jello, any flavors
1 cup boiling water
Directions:
1 Combine all ingredients until dissolved.
2 Line a tray with bake well (non-stick) paper and pour in.
3 Refrigerate until firm.
4 Cut into"worm-like" strips.
Mmmmmm I'm going to try this on the weekend. Sounds easy and I love the sugar free jelly flavours that I have at home. ^_^

Definitely bumping this one for later.... I haven't had my gummy worms since I became diabetic.0

I wonder what would happen if you replaced the unflavored gelatin with Agar? They might hold up more like a traditional gummy...might have to do some kitchen science this weekend0

Anyone know how you could make them sour, like Sour Patch Kids?0
-
To get them really sour like that, you would need to roll them in citric acid and sugar/sweetener.0

Wonderful! I need to make this. Can anyone tell me what the weight is for the envelope of gelatine and the jello? It might be different in Australia.0
