Hey, I've been on here for a while, but I only have one friend because I don't really hang out on the message boards once. Sticking to the calorie limit is hard because I'm in college on a meal plan, and sometimes the food offered isn't conducive to dieting, but I'm working on it.
Anyways, looking to connect with some people on here for mutual morale and such.

Start by picking up a few mags that focus on healthy eating. You'd be surprised the tips they offer that can get you to making the right food choices. It doesn't come all at once for some and little by little in the right direction will get you to your goal. That's what I did. I started make small changes and now I'm eating healthier because now it's almost second nature.
  • Thanks for the advice. :) I've been following some blogs, because I don't have the money for magazine subscriptions, and I try to get salads when I can with the meal plan. I found out using apple cider vinegar instead of dressing tastes good and is MUCH healthier. :)

Hi! Same here! I'm in college too.. and it's so hard to stick to my calories.. because I kinda eat when i can, what i can!

I've recently been doing boiled eggs for breakfast! I boil a half dozen Sunday night, and can grab and go on my way to class!

Feel free to add me. I started small by being super disciplined about breakfast. I have a boiled egg, two strips of bacon and coffee nearly every morning. It's less than 300 calories and I'm usually fine hunger-wise until noon. That little change took off 10 lbs for me. I was so psyched that I started to slowly work on healthier lunches. And it just went from there.
  • I'll take the egg idea under serious consideration. :)
I've tried making protein shakes in the morning with bananas and such, but I end up not getting up in time. :(
I've also pretty much entirely cut soda out of my diet. I'll have a soda every now and then, or Ginger Ale if I'm sick, but beyond that, tea and water and milik.
