Strength Training and Calories burned

So what's the deal with Strength Training not having any estimated calories burned?

    Too many variables to calculate. Contrary to what I am sure some will suggest, a hrm will not help.

    You burn while you train, and you burn after you train. It's freakin complicated... lol

    There are a lot of variables.... a lot of your time lifting weights is spent lollygagging, also. An HRM probably wont help either because a lot of the calories that you burn, you'll burn after you're done anyway.
