sushi!

What does everyone order when they go out for Sushi. Last night i had red snapper sashimi no soy sauce, miso soup, and grilled chillean sea bass skewer. Ohhhh yeah and a few bites of green tea ice cream! I love Japanese food and I want more healthy options for when I go out.

    Edemame (always)

Any combination or all of the following:

    Veggie Roll
    Salmon Roll
    Salmon + cream cheese
Hawaii (tempura fried shrimp, pineapple, red pepper, etc)
Eel roll, usually with cream cheese

I'm pretty sure almost all sushi would be considered "healthy" but most of it is surprisingly high in calories (for being freakin raw fish and seaweed.. I think it's the rice that gets you).

    Miso
Philly roll (I can only eat one or two pieces because it is so rich)
    Spicy tuna roll
    Edamame

If they have it, seared black pepper crusted ahi nigiri

    i LOVE handrolls!

i used to get Miso soup all the time, thinking it was a healthy choice - it is *ridiculously* high in sodium. Off the charts high.

I love sushi. I like the catepillar roll and rainbow roll. Salmon and albacore over rice, edamame, and fried green tea ice cream (that one's rare though). I need to plan a sushi date with a friend!

Sushi is my absolute weakness. I go for salmon & tuna rolls, california maki, mixed sushi, salmon & tuna sashimi... practically everything that the menu has.

Generally, stay away from the cream cheese based rolls and you can always ask for brown rice!

Tell me about it. Even lite soy sauce is stupid high. I love the stuff so freaking much I just eat low sodium items the rest of the day to try to balance out.

Nigiri all the way. I love tako and otoro.

^^^^ This. *Love* nigiri of almost any type.I'm not overly fond of shrimp nigiri when they leave the tail on, it gets in the way. We have a local place here that does sushi bowls which are awesome. Sushi rice, seaweed salad, smelt roe, ahi tuna and whatever their spicy sauce is. I always add avocado to mine.

    Dammit, now I want sushi...

I <3 green tea ice cream! When I go for sushi I just leave myself about 1000 calories so I can have whatever I want. Sushi is always a splurge both money and calorie-wise, so I just want to be able to enjoy it when I get it.
