Tomorrow will be time spent at the gym, playing taxi for my son, cleaning stuff and putting it back in my almost finished renovated kitchen and then hopefully relaxing.

Sunday will be Thanksgiving (Canada) with the family which I'm not excited about, but will still go.

It's also a long weekend so I also have Monday and Monday I imagine will be more organizing...been living in boxes for 3 months so this is exciting for me.

I'd be more excited if I had plumbing and appliances, but the cupboards are in so the rest HAS to come soon. I can't wait to cook in my new kitchen and I REALLY want it soon as we haven't been able to cook in 2 weeks (had to cook in advance to still eat proper).

I don't like Thanksgiving because I'm an outsider in my family and get ignored the entire time and my son gets treated pretty poorly by his cousins so it's really just not an enjoyable time. I have no issues with the food as I know that it's ok to splurge once in awhile and I'm pretty good at paying attention to what I eat and making better choices.

I would've loved to stay home, but my sister says she'd hunt me down. She's the only one I really talk to and she got voluntold that she was hosting.
  • Hoping to repeat my hike from last Saturday (nearly five miles.) I have stuff to do in the yard, housework and reading to catch up on too!

We'll be celebrating thanksgiving with just hubby and our girls out here in Alberta - we live 2500 kms from the closest family but we'll make the most of it! Hubby's a cook with the Canadian forces and he makes THE BEST pie crust so I'll be indulging in that for sure - but gonna do some extra gym time this weekend as well ;) Thankful for my wonderful life... enjoy your weekend all!

I'm sick with a nasty cold that's moving deep into my chest, so I'm just gonna lay around coughing, sniffling, and struggling for air all weekend - kind of like I did today. That sucks because this is some of the prettiest weather I've seen in weeks and I'd rather be hitting the trails.

Appointment with the trainer at my gym at 8am Saturday morning. Buying food afterwards. Looking for new trainers afterwards as well. Need them and I feel like I deserve treat. Studying the rest of the day, spending the evening on skype probably.

Sunday going to the gym, if I am still able to move, studying afterwards and skype date with my boyfriend. I am living abroad right now. Next weekend will be off, so this one I need to get some stuff done, but that's fine and it's been raining all day here anyway.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

  • I'm really excited too! The local university is having their homecoming parade and my 5 daughters will be in it. My oldest will be in the University band, my 2nd will be on the High school float because she is the Homecoming Princess, and my 3 youngest will be with the Girl Scouts celebrating 100 years! I get to watch from the sidelines and take pictures after I help complete the Girl Scout float at 8:30 in the morning. After all that fun, I will go up to the Kibbie dome, where we will watch all the High school and elementary school bands that were also in the parade (including my 2 oldest) perform a huge pregame show before the football game. It's kind of a tradition in our family to do and watch this every year. Thanks for asking and it sounds like your weekend will be as amazing as mine.

Work, just like every weekend for the last year. 6am-6pm shift Sat and Sun. I should be sleeping but that's not likely to happen soon :(

Thanks! We didn't get quite the mileage that I had hoped for, but it was still a good hike. It was just as well as I had other stuff to do at the house. With any luck we'll be hitting the trails again very soon.

Babysit the grandkids last night so I was up at 5am, hayride and festival with them and then a 12 hour shift. Did get a chance to listen to my Reds beat the Giants in Game 1 and hopefully I'll get to see the Bengals beat the Dolphins tomorrow .
