Self hate or self love?

When I chose to take control of my health and get fit I decided I love myself too much to abuse myself anymore. And, I have a long way to go as far as weight to lose, but every day when I take care of myself. When I workout, and eat right, I feel like I have reinforced that I am worth better than the gorging til I was in pain and hip and back pain that made me take the stairs one at a time every morning.
It makes me so sad to see people who are trying to take care of themselves beat themselves up because they aren't perfect! We are human, we are not meant to be perfect. If your goal is to be skinny, please reconsider it. Aim to be healthy and fit! Nourish yourself, move your body. Find a lifestyle you can maintain and live it TODAY. Your transformation will come. Don't measure your success by the scale. Every meal you make healthy, every extra step you take, every weight you lift is a WIN! If you have something that is unhealthy or miss a few days at the gym, then the next meal is a chance to make a healthy choice and no time like the present to work out. Don't give up. Love yourself that much.

Thank you for this lovely post - I can be terribly hard on myself if i slip up and often this is what derails all of my good intentions!!
You're completely right - its not a black and white plan that you follow, getting healthy - you have to actually live life along the way!

I loved myself at all stages of my weight. It was my choices that I didn't care too much for.0 -
I self loathe. Its a daily battle and effects every area of my life. It is something I learned in childhood and can't shake. I like the words of encouragement you put out here. Thanks0
