Okay I have to ask everyone's opinion. At home I weigh 233 in my birthday suite. At the gym I weigh 234 with sweaty gym clothes and keys and phones in my pockets so i subtracted 4 pounds. Which one should I should I go with for my true weight??? P.S. I have been weighing myself on my home scale all this time. But the gym scale puts me past my goal. Lol

I think all scales vary a little. I actually threw my home scale away (it made me mad
. I only weigh myself at work now. Personally I would use the one at home. There is no telling the abuse the one at the gym gets. 0 -
Yea I was thinking the scale at the gym and its a weighted scale so at my be calibrate for accurate measuring. My at home is a digital and it has never been calibrated.so idk0

My scale at home also weighs differently than the one at the gym. I've just gotten in the habit of doing my weigh in on my home scale naked first thing in the morning before I jump in the shower. The way I see it is as long as it's consistent it shouldn't matter which you use. if you lose 10lbs the you should weigh 223 on your home scale naked and 224 at the gym with your clothes on. As long as you always use the same scale for the measurements you record I don't think it should matter. I've just stopped using the gym scale all together. I don't really care whether my scale says 160 at home or 164 at the gym the only thing I care about is that my scale at home used to say 198!! One thing I heard that can affect your home scale is the floor you place it on. We have large tile in our bathroom so I always put my scale in the exact same spot everyday right in the middle of the same tile. Seems to work for me.0

I would use the one at home, since you can use it first thing in the am.
All scales vary a little. The only thing that matters is consistency - so use the same scale every time, and you should get a good picture of whether you're losing or not.0 -
Doesn't matter as long as you are consistent with which one you track.0

Good idea thanks MFPs!!0

Doesn't matter what scale you use, as long as you always use the same one. So the gym scale had a lower weight? But the next time you get on the home scale it'll still show what it's been showing. You haven't lost more weight by the other scale showing you lighter. If you've been using the home one all along, keep using it until you hit your goal. Consistency is the most important thing.0

Probably one without a broom... but honestly, stick to one that you can be consistant on. I like my home one because I can use it first thing in the morning.0
