How many grams is a good serving of protein?

I bought a tuna steak this morning and it weighs 300g. My tracker says this is way to much protein. Is 300g too big for one serving of protein? It is an indulgent dinner as a bit of a treat...

A serving of meat/chicken/fish is supposed to be 3oz/100g.0

Depends on how many grams protein you need in a given day for your goals. You could have them all in one sitting or spread out it doesn't matter.0

too much is a relative term. 300 grams is a large serving, but once in a great while it's not horrible. There's far worse things you could eat. Depending on the cut it can be better or worse, fattier cuts may not be a great idea but even then, if it's a one time thing, it's not that bad.0

I was told by my PT that as a woman it should be less that 25 and at least 2 hours between meals.0

Lets see 300g is about 10.5 oz of fresh tuna. That has 70.1g of pure protein.
If its fits in your daily intake, or food-lifestyle choice - have at it.... THAT is a sexy piece of fish right there and VERY healthy for you too!0 -

1lbs = 2.2kg so if the human body requires 0.8-1.0g protein per pound body weight that means you weigh 25lbs or 11.4kg. And it doesnt matter how many times a day you eat - you can eat twice a day it doesnt matter as long as you get in the required nutrient and keep consistent with feeding window.

Depends on your health. If you have DIabetes or any kidney problems, you should stick with about 80 gm per day. Protein works your kidneys so you should ask your doctor or nutritionist. 300gm of protein in one meal is quite a bit a protein.0
