I'm new to this forum and new to MyFitnessPal. My goal is to shed about 25 pounds and this looks like an organized, disciplined way to do it. Should be fun.

    Welcome! This is a great place to be motivated. I have been on here almost two weeks and hope to lose 40 pounds. I am also retired, married, with two grown children and one grandson who keeps me on my toes. If you want to add me as a friend, feel free to do so!

    You have made the right step in joining MFP. It's the perfect place to be accountable and get motivated!
    Remember to take baby steps even if it means taking it day by day or meal by meal - you can do this!

  • I'm new, too. I like the way this site works. It's easy tracking, graphing, and socializing. What more could a person ask for (besides having 30 unwanted pounds melt effortlessly away)? Anyway, if it's not effortless, at least it's efficient. Nice to meet all of you.
