BMR calculator vs MFP

Options
Confused... MFP says I should be eating 1725 calories considering I worked out today, but a BMR Calculator only says 1468 .... Which one is right?

As I understand it, BMR is just the base number of calories needed to sustain life. Have you checked out the TDEE calculator that tells you how much you should eat depending on how much exercise you do?

Your BMR is not always equal to your daily calorie intake goal.

Have you read the post by helloitsdan called "in place of the road map" (or something like that) I think you should start there he explains it very well.

TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) for sure. I eat at the MFP level because it is below my TDEE and works for me. TDEE tells you how much you are burning. Eat less and you will burn your body stores to reach it. Eat more and you gain.

So I suggest staying under TDEE and over BMR. (Somewhere in between)
