When I'm slow at work my brain thinks it's time to eat!

I work at a bank, and whenever I get a little bit of down time I get hungry! I know I really don't need to be eating at these times. I'm drinking a lot of water at work but all that seems to do is make me pee every 20 minutes. Any ideas on what I can do to help with these cravings? Thanks for the support!

    Chew gum?
    Read? Crossword?
Do anything you can to keep your mind/hands busy.

Keep some low cal snacks close by. I have a desk job and I work swing shift, when I am on overnight hours, i am tired and therefore I am hungry, I bring lots of low calorie snacks and then i can much all night long. few suggestions are fresh fruit/veggies, 100 calorie packs of about anything, pretzel sticks, and chewing gum sometimes helps. Good luck and if you like my diary is public.

Try taking a small snack. I sometimes munch on pretzels--salty, crunchy, easy to eat slow (i munch off bits of them at a time, rather than like potato chips which go in my mouth in one fell swoop). Or fruit. Or a bag of carrots or something. :)
