I may not be a popular advice, I have lost 120lbs and I eat what I want as long as it is in my calories. I workout 3-4 days a week.0

I don't think of it as a diet, but as learning portion control and exercise.0

Welcome to MFP. You're more likely to succeed if you think of it as a life style change and not a diet.
I would start here.

Me, too. I eat what I want and stay in my calorie goal.
The app says 1200 for me to lose 2 lbs a week. That hasn't been happening over the summer but I've lost 16 lbs overall since February, which is about 1/2 way to my goal. I started out using 1400 as my calorie target and I'm not sure when I changed it to 1200. Now I'm wondering if I that has something to do with the slower weight loss. I know that taking in TO FEW calories can make it harder to lose weight. I just did the BMR calculator and it says I'd burn 1283 if I just rest and breath all day. I'm not sure what to do with that information. Eat more or less??
Relating back to your question. I do find that I try to have less empty calories. Instead of grabbing a regular chocolate chip cookie, I'll have a nutritious Whonu chewy chocolate chip cookie. (I like to keep them in the fridge.) The calories are about the same but there's a decent amount of nutrition in them. I figure that might help burn more calories. They help take the edge off hunger between meals, too.0 -
Hi hun,
The most simple way I can put it is like this
NO JUNK FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Veggies Fruits and a palm size 1 inch thick of meat a day.
Take your multi vitamin, cod liver oil and vitamin D and iron since you are a lady.
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF WEIGHT LIFTING (:0 -
First: Start learning about your body and food! Do some exercise or running or both.....relax!0
